I am Jimmy and my wife is Trina. Our children are Todd (16), Lindsey and Abigail (standing in back, 13), Heather (sitting on the right with the hat, 10), Candace (sitting on the left, 9), Stuart (sitting in the middle, 6), David (sitting on the right, 5), Naomi (2) Elijah (2), and Matthew (2). (Elijah is in Trina’s lap, Naomi is with me and Matthew is being held by Abigail at the top of the picture). We have been in Tanzania for almost 4 years, serving as missionaries in the Northern part of the country outside of Arusha in a village called Kisongo. I serve as the Dean of Academics of the Andrew Connally School of Preaching. It is a part of the Tanzania 2000 mission effort sponsored by the Kensington Woods Church of Christ in Hattiesburg, MS.

Jimmy,
Welcome to the world of blogging…we think of you and the work often and look forward to being with you all later in the year.
God bless the efforts of Tanzania 2000
Neil
Jimmy,
Delighted to know that you and others will be writing a book about animism. Reserve a copy for me. I look forward to reading it when it is published. God bless you and family.

That is such a great picture, y’all. It’s missing something… I can’t put my finger on it… oh yeah your other son back from college… I was told he even wore orange and blue that night… (Just so we are all clear on this, we don’t have another son. John is speaking of himself because it’s running joke that he is our other son since he eats in our home on a regular basis. We enjoy his company and hope that he stays in Tanzania for a long time to come. Jimmy)
Hi there,
It’s Amy Hathaway from Forever Angels in Mwanza. I was just reading your blog – congratulations on your adoptions! Wow – your family is amazing. I only wish there were more people like you. I have 31 babies now – more than 20 who need adoptive families…..and hardly any families wanting to adopt. It is wonderful to see you have adopted toddler aged children rather than the ‘more wanted’ babies. I worry about our older children that they will never get homes….especially those with special needs.
Lets hope more ‘Gee families’ come to Tanzania soon.
Best wishes,
Amy*
